This info-guide highlights what you can do to fix those issues.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>*Before you attempt a fix for your issues, try logging in to your Microsoft Teams account on a browser (Google Chrome recommended) at <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/\">teams.microsoft.com<\/a><\/span><\/em> to check if the error is strictly happening on the desktop app <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>[Do take note there are some limitations to functions in meetings and in-apps when you use the web version of MS Teams]<\/em><\/span><strong>. If it is, follow the methods below to fix your login issues:-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Method 1 &#8211; Restart the Teams app<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Quit Microsoft Teams<\/strong> \u2013 Right-click the Teams icon on your taskbar and select<strong> &#8216;Quit&#8217;<\/strong>. A dialogue box will appear showing a list of applications you can force quit. Copy and paste \u201c<strong>%appdata%\\Microsoft\\teams\\<\/strong>\u201d and press <strong>Enter. <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">[For New Teams app, you need to enter &#8220;<strong>%userprofile%\\appdata\\local\\Packages\\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\\LocalCache\\Microsoft\\MSTeams<\/strong>&#8220;]<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-619 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.educlaas.com\/learner\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/msteamreswin5-1-300x181.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"666\" height=\"402\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kb.educlaas.com\/learner\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/msteamreswin5-1-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/kb.educlaas.com\/learner\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/msteamreswin5-1.png 463w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 666px) 100vw, 666px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The File Explorer will open with your Teams app cache files in it. Press the <strong>Ctrl + A<\/strong>\u00a0keys to select all the files in the folder, then press the\u00a0<strong>Shift + Del<\/strong> keys to delete them. Confirm the deletion process and wait until it\u2019s completed. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">[You might get some warning pop-ups saying some files can&#8217;t be deleted, which simply means that the app has not been shut down properly. Go back to the start of this method, and make sure the app is completely shut down first before deleting the cache files.]<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-561 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.educlaas.com\/learner\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/4-12-1-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"575\" height=\"575\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After you have cleared the files from the Teams folder, close all windows, refresh the desktop once, and launch the Teams app. Depending on your PC\/Laptop specs and network speed, it can take about 5-15 mins for Teams to rebuild your cache.<br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Method 2a (Mac) &#8211; Clear the Teams cache<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>When the application Microsoft Teams is not open anymore, find the MS Teams icon on your Mac\u2019s dock and right-click on it. This can be done by accessing the application and selecting the option to uninstall Teams, then installing a new version<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press the <strong>Windows<\/strong> <strong>+ I<\/strong> keyboard shortcut to open the settings window.
